Placing our faith in Jesus Christ, our Savior, and desiring to represent Him as a local body of believers, we join together in fellowship to be the Weiser Community Church, an incorporated organization.
Article 1 Purpose
The Weiser Community church consists of believers in Jesus Christ who come from a variety of church and non-church backgrounds. As a result this church seeks to glorify God by the preserving of the unity of the Holy Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:3); the equipping of its membership for works of service (Ephesians 4:12); the edifying of the body as its members grow toward Christ-like maturity (Ephesians 4:12,13); and making disciples through evangelism and mission (Matthew 28:19,20), so that the kingdom of God may increase.
Article 2 Doctrine
We as the Community Church of Weiser, believe the Bible is the revelation of God to mankind. It consists of the 66 books of the Old and New Testament. The original manuscripts are infallible, inerrant, God breathed, and the final authority of all Christian belief and conduct.
We believe that the Bible not only contains and conveys the Word of God, but that the Bible is the very Word of God. We believe that it is the responsibility of every believer to ascertain carefully the true intent and meaning of Scripture.
We believe in the existence, unity, and triune nature of one eternal God, who is the sovereign Creator and Sustainer of all things. He is infinitely perfect, holy, and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. To Him belongs all honor, glory, and worship forever.
We believe all humans are born into sin, estranged from God, and condemned by our sinfulness. Our salvation and justification are wholly dependent upon the work of God’s grace through faith. Repentance, faith, and salvation are found By Grace Alone, Through Faith Alone, In Christ Alone.
We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. Rejection of one’s own biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person. We believe and teach that the term marriage has only one meaning, the uniting of one man and one woman in a single exclusive union as is taught in Scripture.
We believe that the Bible commands Christians to make every effort to live at peace and to resolve disputes with each other in private or within the Christian community in conformity with Biblical commandments and teachings.
We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of highest worth in all of life from conception through natural or accidental death. Therefore, we are called to defend, protect and value all human life.
We believe that worship as represented in the Bible is not just a weekly, corporate, musical number; but also an individual, never-stopping, ongoing, life-long conversation of praise to our Creator and God. Worship as we see in the Bible is the elevation of Christ over our humanity and the proclamation of His worthiness to lead and be loved by all those who understand His sacrifice to bring us near to Him.
We believe that the Church is composed of all redeemed people since creation who have been Justified and Redeemed through the resurrection of Christ. It is His body of which He is the Head. The universal, invisible Church is visibly expressed in local assemblies whose purpose is to worship God, fellowship, instruct believers in the Word, make disciples, and observe the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Article 3 Membership
The membership of the Weiser Community Church shall consist of those who have given testimony of having trusted Jesus Christ as their Savior, who take the Scriptures as their rule of faith and practice, and who have declared their commitment to the body by the signing of the Covenant of Fellowship

The executive leadership of the Weiser Community Church shall be vested in The Board of Elders, whose responsibilities are listed within the Bylaws. The Board of Elders shall transact the legal, corporate and fiscal business of the church body.
The spiritual shepherding of Weiser Community Church shall be vested in the Shepherd's Council, whose responsibilities are listed within the bylaws. The election, term and succession of these bodies will be described in the Bylaws.
Article 5 Meetings
Meetings for worship, prayer, praise, fellowship, business, service and special purposes shall be held as set forth in the Bylaws.
Article 6 Amendments
This constitution may be amended by a three-fourths vote of the attending membership of any duly called business meeting provided such amendments have been submitted to the Board of Elders one month prior to the meeting and been communicated to the church body two weeks prior to the meeting.
Article 7 Official Position on Marriage and Sexuality
We believe that “marriage” has only one meaning and that is marriage sanctioned by God which joins one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union intended to last a lifetime.
We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to only occur between a man and a woman who are married to each other. We believe that God has commanded that no sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.
We believe that any form of sexual immorality, such as adultery, fornication, homosexuality, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, pornography, or any attempt to change one’s biological sex or to otherwise act upon any disagreement with one’s biological sex, is contrary to God’s design and is ultimately damaging to the individual.
We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of the church as the local Body of Christ, and to provide a biblical role model to the church members and the community, it is imperative that all persons employed by the church in any capacity should abide by and agree to this Statement on Marriage and Sexuality and conduct themselves accordingly.
We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with scripture nor the doctrines of the church.
Article 8 Effective Date
This Constitution shall take effect upon its approval by three-quarters of the attending membership of the Weiser Community Church at a duly called meeting and shall replace and supersede any previous Constitution, excepting the state-required papers of incorporation.
